ANNAPOLIS, Md. (Oct. 12, 2022) Senior Chief Musician Davy DeArmond, a member of the U.S. Naval Academy Band, plays music during a celebration of the Naval Academy’s Founders Day and the U.S. Navy’s 247th birthday in downtown Annapolis. The City of Annapolis hosted the event, which included remarks by Annapolis Mayor Gavin Buckley and Naval Academy Superintendent Vice Adm. Sean Buck. Established in 1845, the Naval Academy prepares young men and women to become professional officers of competence, character, and compassion in the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps.
