Philippine Navy Seaman Mark Dexter Alcaria, an equipment operator with the Naval Combat Engineering Brigade, helps a U.S. Sailor with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit cut a piece of wood during KAMANDAG 6 at Colonel Ernesto Ravina Air Base, Tarlac, Philippines, Oct. 3, 2022. The U.S. and Philippine Seabees supported the training event by opening up vehicle routes and building sentry posts to act as targets for live-fire events. KAMANDAG is an annual bilateral exercise between the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the U.S. military designed to strengthen interoperability, capabilities, trust, and cooperation built over decades shared experiences.
