U.S. Marine Corps Pfc. Jefferey Lydickbatesting, a motor vehicle operator with Combat Logistics Battalion 4, Combat Logistics Regiment 3, 3rd Marine Logistics Group, fires an M2 Browning machine gun during a live fire range in the Central Training Area, Okinawa, Japan, Oct. 13, 2022. The Marines fired the M240B machine gun and the Browning M2 .50 caliber machine gun to increase their lethality and proficiency with the weapon systems. 3rd MLG, based out of Okinawa, Japan, is a forward deployed combat unit that serves as III MEF’s comprehensive logistics and combat service support backbone for operations throughout the Indo-Pacific area of responsibility.
