With the help of her sponsor, Sgt. 1st Class Ramon Trujillo, Sgt. 1st Class Alissa Guzman looks over the notes she created for the 2012 Best Warrior Competition NCO Board that's under way here today at the Lee Club. Guzman was the first of 24 competitors to appear before the board. She is a senior drill sergeant assigned to Fort Jackson, S.C., and is representing U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command at Best Warrior. The four-day competition ends Thursday. The winning NCO and Soldier of the Year will be announced Monday at an Sergeant Major of the Army-sponsored luncheon in Washington.
