(Oct. 18, 2022) - Charles Tench, National Background Investigation Services (NBIS) program manager, answers a question from an industry security professional at the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) sponsored 2022 National Background Investigation Services (NBIS) Industry Conference. DCSA leaders and NBIS experts briefed cleared industry on NBIS program status; the impact on industry's feedback and partnership with DCSA; and onboarding requirements. NBIS is the backbone of the Trusted Workforce 2.0 whole-of-government background investigation reform effort overhauling the personnel vetting process by creating one government-wide system that allows reciprocity across organizations.
