REYNOSA, Mexico (Oct. 16, 2022) U.S. Marine Corps Maj. Edwin Santibanez, Joint Task Force Civil Support Incident Support Team 4 operations officer, gives a reception brief to exercise participants during their arrival in Reynosa, Mexico as part of exercise Fuerzas Amigas 2022 at Campo Militar Reynosa, Oct. 16. FA22 is a binational disaster-response exercise between the U.S. and Mexican militaries Oct. 17-21, along the U.S.- Mexican border. The purpose of this annual exercise is to improve readiness and strengthen the two nations’ cooperative relationship. U.S. Army North, through Joint Task Force Civil Support will serve as the command-and-control element directing U.S. troops conducting a natural disaster response exercise alongside Mexican military forces.
