The 8th Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy, John Hagan, speaks with Capt. Kertreck Brooks, commanding officer, Recruit Training Command on the quarter deck of the USS Hopper recruit barracks, which was dedicated as MCPON Hagan Quarter Deck. Hagan served as MCPON for nearly six years, serving under three Chiefs of Naval Operations, Admiral Frank Kelso, Admiral Mike Boorda and Admiral Jay L. Johnson.
