A French Desert Commando Course (FDCC) instructor briefs U.S. service members assigned to Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa on the mountain obstacle portion of the French Desert Commando Course (FDCC) at Centre Dentrainment Au Combat (CECAD), Djibouti, Sept. 21, 2022. The FDCC is a multi-day course held by the French at CECAD that challenges both U.S. and French service members by challenging the participants physically and mentally through land and water obstacles and endurance exercises while surviving in austere field conditions.
