221026-N-ET093-1113 ADRIATIC SEA (Oct 26, 2022) Aviation Boatswain’s Mate (Fuel) Airman Jesus Quiroz, from Yuma, Arizona, assigned to the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS George H.W. Bush (CVN 77), tests the specific gravity of fuel samples during a replenishment-at-sea with the Henry J. Kaiser-class fleet replenishment oiler Kanawha (T-AO 196) while participating in the NATO-led vigilance activity Neptune Strike 22.2 (NEST 22.2), in the Adriatic Sea, Oct. 26, 2022. NEST 22.2 is the natural evolution of NATO's ability to integrate the high-end maritime warfare capabilities of a carrier strike group to support the defense of the alliance in Europe.The George H.W. Bush Carrier Strike Group is on a scheduled deployment in the U.S. Naval Forces Europe area of operations, employed by U.S. Sixth Fleet to defend U.S., allied and partner interests.
