Officers from the Armed Forces of the Philippines, U.S. Navy, and Japan Ground Self-Defense Force converse during chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear training for KAMANDAG 6 at Naval Education, Training and Doctrine Command in Zambales, Philippines, Oct. 7, 2022. The training tested and built upon CBRN tactics and procedures shared among the U.S. Marine Corps, Philippine Marine Corps, and the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force. KAMANDAG is an annual, bilateral exercise between the AFP and the U.S. military designed to strengthen interoperability, capabilities, trust and cooperation built over decades of shared experiences.
