Mr. Maurice Walton, Defense Support of Civil Authorities course coordinator, walks around assisting military personnel, both officers and noncommissioned officers, with a group task during a four-day Defense Support of Civil Authorities Phase II seminar at Fort Sam Houston, 23 August through 26 August 2022. This DSCA course is meant to further teach courses of action to take in the event of a state or national disaster in the United States. DSCA is the response of the Department of Defense to national disasters once civil authorities have absorbed all of their resources during a crisis. (U.S. Army photo by Spc. Andrea Kent)
