Maj. Shonn Breton, commander of the Wisconsin Air National Guard’s 128th Air Control Squadron, speaks during an Oct. 25 ceremony for returning Airmen of the squadron at Volk Field, Wis. Breton did not deploy with the Airmen, who represent approximately half of the squadron. The 128th deployed in support of air operations throughout the Middle East as attached members of the 727th Expeditionary Air Control Squadron. During the deployment they performed air surveillance, aircraft tracking, and overall command and control of tactical coalition aircraft operations throughout the Middle East in support of Operation Inherent Resolve and the Combined Defense of the Arabian Peninsula.
