Chief Master Sgt. Bradley Spencer, 169th Air Defense Squadron senior enlisted leader, presents 1s Lt. Sheldon Lee, 169th ADS air battle manager, with an award Oct. 1, 2022, for placing first in a career-field-wide training competition at Wheeler Army Air Field, Hawaii. The first ‘Top Scope’ competition was conducted through an artificial intelligence-based training platform, testing each operator’s ability to support command and control inside a virtual environment. The platform, called Battle Management Training NEXT, simulates the activities of an air-to-air engagement and serves as a cost-effective means for users to develop their skills.
