221029-N-LI114-1026 PHILIPPINE SEA (Oct. 29, 2022) Sailors assigned to Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit (EODMU) 5, assigned to Commander, Task Force 70, conduct helicopter rope suspension technique training from an MH-60S Sea Hawk, attached to the Golden Falcons of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 12, on the flight deck aboard the U.S. Navy’s only forward-deployed aircraft carrier, USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76), in the Philippine Sea, Oct. 29. EODMU 5 and HSC 12 routinely conduct unit level training to ensure effectiveness during helicopter visit, board, search and seizure. Ronald Reagan, the flagship of Carrier Strike Group 5, provides a combat-ready force that protects and defends the United States, and supports alliances, partnerships and collective maritime interests in the Indo-Pacific region.
