U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Keegan Bailey, a combat graphics specialist with Security Battalion, has peers tackle him in the water after his promotion ceremony to corporal on Marine Corps Base Quantico, Virginia, Nov. 1, 2022. Promotion ceremonies are a significant achievement in a service member’s career and are a testament to their commitment, mastery of duties and skills, and leadership capabilities. Marines take on greater responsibilities as Non-Commissioned Officers after showing exemplary leadership skills. This is a Marine Corps Base Quantico Communications Strategy and Operations tradition many Marines follow. Bailey is a native of Friday Harbor, Washington and is a graduate of Friday Harbor High School on June 4, 2020. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Lance Cpl. Joaquin Dela Torre)
