The annual birthday cake created by U.S. Marine Corps Gunnery Sgt. Michael D. Watts, a food service specialist and acting enlisted aid for the commander of Fleet Marine Force, Atlantic (FMFLANT), Marine Forces Command (MARFORCOM), Marine Forces Northern Command (MARFOR NORTHCOM), awaits the 247th Marine Corps Birthday Ball hosted at the Virginia Beach Convention Center, Norfolk, Va., Nov. 2, 2022. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the service members of FMFLANT, MARFORCOM, MARFOR NORTHCOM have not celebrated the Marine Corps anniversary since 2019.
