FORT CARSON, Colo. — U.S. Army leaders and partners broke ground on the new Flow Battery system for Fort Carson Nov. 3. Participating in the groundbreaking were, from left to right, Dr. Andrew Nelson, Maj. Gen. David M. Hodne, Brenda McCullough, Paul Farnan, Col. Sean M. Brown, Steven Botwinik. Nelson is director of Construction Engineering Research Laboratory, U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Hodne is commanding general of 4th Infantry Division and Fort Carson. McCullough is director of Installation Management Command-Readiness. Farnan is principal deputy assistant secretary of the Army (Installations, Energy and Environment). Brown is commander, U.S. Army Garrison Fort Carson. Botwinik is vice president, Advanced Programs Execution and Transition, Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control.
