U.S. Marine 1st Lt. John Finnegan, a platoon commander with Bravo Company, 1st Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, 1st Marine Division, deploys a Ramona off the side of a rigid hull inflatable boat during Technical Concept Experiment 22.2 off the coast of Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California, Sep. 28, 2022. TCE, sponsored by the U.S. Navy’s Office of Naval Research, brought together Marines and contractors to experiment with new and emerging technologies to enable Marine forces to operate effectively in distributed and expeditionary advanced base operations.
