A Kanto Plains Special Olympics athlete leaps forward into a sand pit during a standing long jump event as part of the 43rd annual KPSO at Yokota Air Base, Japan, Nov. 5, 2022. Athletes were able to compete in a variety of games including soccer shoot, basketball dribble, softball throw, bowling, running and swimming races. Hosting events like the KPSO is an opportunity for Yokota Air Base to fortify its ties with the Japanese community and enhance the strong bond the U.S. shares with Japan. (U.S. Air Force by Tech.
