United States Air Force Airmen and service members from North and West Africa, including delegations from Algeria, Chad, Ghana, Libya, Mauritania, Niger, Nigeria, Tunisia and Senegal, visit the North Africa American Cemetery and Memorial in Carthage, Tunisia to pay respects to fallen American service members during the 2022 African Partner Flight being held in Tunis, Nov. 2-4, 2022. The North Africa American Cemetery and Memorial in Tunisia is the resting place of 2,841 fallen military members and has an additional 3,724 names located on the Wall of the Missing. Most honored at the cemetery lost their lives in World War II in military activities ranging from North Africa to the Persian Gulf. APF serves as opportunity to open dialogue between air force leaders across the continent, identify opportunities for the U.S. to assist African partners, and implement collective solutions.
