U.S. Air Force Master Sgt. Benjamin Touchstone, radar, airfield, and weather systems technician assigned to the 36th Contingency Response Squadron, surveys the airfield during landing zone operations on Angaur island, Republic of Palau, Nov. 4, 2022. While on Angaur, the members performed landing zone operations and helped establish the airfield before aircraft could land on the austere location. The 36 CRS forward deployed members to Palau to provide air traffic control support for the 23rd Wing from Moody Air Force Base, Ga. participating in a dynamic force employment exercise to maintain readiness in a geographically-separated environment.
