A Soldier with the 11th Corps Signal Brigade fires an M240B machine gun at the Expert Soldier Badge (ESB) test on Caserma Del Din, Vicenza, Italy, Nov. 7, 2022. The ESB is one of three special skills badges that is awarded to U.S. military personnel and NATO military personnel who successfully complete a set of qualification tests, including both written and performance portions. The "E3B" is a combined event that will test Soldier’s skills to achieve the Expert Infantry Badge, Expert Soldier Badge or the Expert Field Medical Badge. This is the first E3B hosted at SETAF-AF with competitors from SETAF-AF, 173rd Airborne Brigade, 509th Strategic Signal Battalion, U.S. Special Operations Command Africa, units from U.S. Army Europe and Africa Command and service members from Spain, Croatia and Italy.(Photo by U.S. Army Staff Sgt.
