Cpl. Rebecca Sloboh is a rifleman with Headquarters Company, 6th Marine Regiment, born in Monrovia, Liberia. She enlisted in the Marine Corps in Nov. 2019 and has loved the opportunities and challenges she has gotten along the way.
Along with her daily training as a rifleman, she has taken it upon herself to take on more physical and mental challenges, such as participating in High-Intensity Tactical Training (HITT) competitions.
“I was physically strong, but not as mentally strong as I would have liked to have been,” said Sloboh, “I started going to the gym to not only build my physical strength but my mental strength as well. Doing this really drove me to want to help others become more fit and push myself to compete in HITT competitions.”
Sloboh plans to re-enlist in the Marine Corps and continue participating in HITT competitions. She hopes this will help her move one step closer to her end goal of pursuing a degree and career as a physical therapist.
