U.S. Army Corps of Engineers structural engineers Brian Blusius, Middle East District, and Kent Moray, Baltimore District, complete a detailed infrastructure assessment on Sanibel Island in Florida’s Lee County, Nov. 8, 2022. The Corps of Engineers deployed an infrastructure assessment team to assess critical infrastructure impacted by the storm and received a FEMA mission assignment to conduct ATC-45 Rapid Evaluation Safety Assessments of single-family dwellings and other structures as prioritized by the county, state and FEMA in Lee County, in coordination with county officials.
