SAN DIEGO (Nov. 10, 2022) Michigan State University Men’s basketball players pose for a photo with Capt. Amy Bauernchmidt, commanding officer of the Nimitz-Class Aircraft Carrier USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72), during a tour of the flight deck of Abraham Lincoln. The players are aboard for the 2022 ESPN Armed Forces Classic-Carrier Edition, held on the flight deck of Abraham Lincoln while in port at Naval Air Station North Island, Calif. The ESPN Armed Forces Classic is an annual series of college basketball games held near Veteran’s Day on military bases as a tribute to U.S. service members.
