The Marines with the Marine Security Guard Detachment at U.S. Embassy Brussels, Belgium, took a trip on June 2, 2022 to the Waterloo battlefield, which is where Napoleon Bonaparte lost a definitive battle against the Dutch, British, and German coalition armies 207 years ago. During the tour, the Marines were educated on the tactics and weapons used by the forces involved in the battle, to include a musket and cannon firing demonstration.
