A U.S. Marine with the Maritime Special Purpose Force, 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), exits a CH-53E Super Stallion during a Fast Rope Masters course at Stone Bay, on Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, Nov. 16, 2022. This training prepares service members for helicopter-borne insertion and extraction operations and certifies them to oversee rope operations with their respective units. The Fast Rope Masters course is one of several Expeditionary Operations Training Group taught courses Marines and Sailors of the MEU receive prior to deployment.
