Soldiers assigned to 4th Infantry Division participate in a division-wide physical fitness event in remembrance of the Battle of Dak To during the Vietnam War Nov. 23, 2022, at Fort Carson, Colorado.
The Battle of Dak To was a series of major engagements of the Vietnam War at which the 4th Infantry Division worked with the Army of the Republic of Vietnam in the highlands of Vietnam. They worked together to comb the hills on foot, and ran into fixed People’s Army of Vietnam hill-top defensive positions, applied massive firepower, and then launched ground attacks to force the PAVN off.
