U.S. Marine Corps Maj. Gen. Eric Austin, the commanding general of 1st Marine Aircraft Wing (MAW), observes a demonstration of the Marine Corps Aircrew Trainer (MCAT) at Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Futenma, Okinawa, Japan, Nov. 18, 2022. This new simulator allows aircrew with 1st MAW the opportunity to hone their craft in a simulated environment, which complements the training they’re able to conduct during operations and exercises throughout the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command area of responsibility.
