STENNIS SPACE CENTER, Mississippi (Nov. 28, 2022) – Mr. Chauncey Philan explains unmanned glider capabilities to Royal Navy Rear Adm. Rhett Hatcher, U.K. National Hydrographer, center, and Simon Hardern, U.K. Hydrographic Office, during an official visit to the Naval Meteorology and Oceanography Command. During the tour, Hatcher and Hardern received an overview of oceanography operations, viewed unmanned systems static displays, and toured the Glider Operations Center. Naval Meteorology and Oceanography Command directs and oversees more than 2,500 globally-distributed military and civilian personnel who collect, process and exploit environmental information to assist Fleet and Joint Commanders in all warfare areas to make better decisions faster than the adversary.
