Spc. Eric Hillard, a High Mobility Artillery Rocket System Crewmember of Alpha Battery, 3rd Battalion, 197th Field Artillery Regiment, waits for communication to move their vehicles as part of training at the NH Army National Guard Armory Berlin, New Hampshire on March 5.
Hillard attends UNH, where he majors in acting and minors in dance. He specializes in ballet, tap, and contemporary styles. His dedication to the performing art enables him to contribute to his unit’s physical readiness. Dance, like the Army, requires vigorous regular conditioning, and Hillard fulfills his obligations to both by training in the gym five to six times per week. “Fitness [is] a big part of the Army life, a big part of my life. They work hand in hand,” says Hillard.
