U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Daniel McGrath, a loadmaster assigned to the 40th Airlift Squadron, starts the closing process of a cargo ramp on a C-130J Super Hercules after a drop during a flight at Dyess Air Force Base, Texas on Nov. 30, 2022. Dyess AFB is home to the 39th and 40th Airlift Squadrons which maintain quality aircrew and aircraft to mobilize, deploy and provide intratheater aircraft worldwide. They support theater commander's requirements with combat-delivery capability through tactical air land and air drop operations as well as humanitarian efforts and aeromedical evacuation.
