Santa and Mrs. Claus join community members in a traditional Inupiat dance during Operation Santa Claus at the Trapper School in Nuiqsut, Alaska, Nov. 29, 2022. Operation Santa Claus is the Alaska National Guard’s yearly community relations and support program that provides gifts to children in remote communities across the state. In partnership with the Salvation Army, Santa, Mrs. Claus and more than three dozen elves delivered 1,420 pounds of gifts, backpacks, hygiene supplies, and books to 191 children in Nuiqsut.
