A .50-caliber machine gun sits on the back door of an MV-22B Osprey as a defensive safety measure in the event of an attack. The Marines with Weapons Company, Battalion Landing Team (BLT) 3/2, 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), conducted a notional tactical recovery of aircraft and personnel mission in preparation for an upcoming deployment. The 26th MEU is slated to deploy in 2013.
