Col. Andy Nuce, left, presents the Legion of Merit award to Lt. Col. Ronald Foley in recognition of Foley’s contributions to the U.S. Army Medical Corps during his 40 year career, part of the U.S. Army Medical Materiel Development Activity (USAMMDA) yearend Town Hall and Holiday Party, Frederick, Md., Dec. 8, 2022. Nuce is the commander and Foley is pharmacy clinician project manager, both with USAMMDA. Foley enlisted as a private in 1982, serving as a military policeman before commissioning and serving across the globe as a pharmacist and nuclear pharmacist. The USAMMDA social committee and command team hosted the Town Hall to foster camaraderie, highlight the unit’s successes during 2022, recognize top performers from across the command, and build esprit de corps heading into 2023. USAMMDA is composed of five Project Management Offices and several administrative sections at Fort Detrick, Md. – team members routinely partner with U.S. military and non-DOD organizations to test, refine and develop world-class medical products and technologies for use by Warfighters across the U.S. joint forces. USAMMDA leads the Department of Defense’s medical product development through contracting, agreements and interdisciplinary and integrated-product teams. (Official U.S. Army Photo by T. T.
