Col. Sean Rassas, 926th Wing commander, serves Airman Yulissa Minero Corona, the newest Airman in the wing, a slice of cake during a cake-cutting ceremony in honor of the unit's 60th anniversary Dec. 10, 2022, at Nellis Air Force Base, Nev. The 926th Wing was established on Dec. 28, 1962, as the 926th Troop Carrier Group at Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base, New Orleans. It was designated as the 926th Fighter Wing in 1994 before moving its headquarters to Nellis in 2005. The unit was re-designated in 2014 as the 926th Wing. (U.S. Air Force photo by Tech. Sgt.
