U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Darren Bushey is a landing support specialist with 3rd Transportation Battalion, Combat Logistics Regiment 3, a native of Arlie, Alabama, and a graduate of Dayspring Academy. A landing support specialist preforms various duties that support the establishment, maintenance and control of transportation and troops while throughput systems on beaches, landing zones, ports (air and sea), and terminals (rails, trucks, containers) used in support of MAGTF operations and deployments.
“When I was thirteen, I went to the mall with my uncle, which is rare coming from an Amish family, and I saw a poster of the Marines, at the time I spoke to a Staff Sergeant and he told me about his life in the Marines and his MOS. I don’t remember his name, but I remember everything he told me. I knew then I wanted to enlist and go experience life from a different perspective.”
