Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility Shipyard Commander Capt. Richard Jones speaks at the USS Oklahoma Memorial Ceremony on Ford Island, Dec. 7, 2022. The annual event commemorates the 81st anniversary of the sinking of the Nevada-class battleship during the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, Dec. 7, 1941 and honors those lost aboard. Originally commissioned in 1916, USS Oklahoma (BB 37) served in both world wars and was instrumental in rescuing Americans from the Spanish Civil War.
