Suffolk, Va. (December 14, 2022). Matthew Headrick, a Military Educator at the Hampton Roads Naval Museum, presents a history program to students at Nansemond River High School regarding African Americans in the U.S. Navy. The history program that was presented is aligned with the Virginia Department of Education curriculum standards, and is a component of the museum’s educational programs for area students and is provided without cost. The Hampton Roads Naval Museum is located in Downtown Norfolk, Virginia and is one of the museums within the Naval History and Heritage Command. There is no cost to visit the museum.
