U.S. Navy Corpsmen with Forward Resuscitative Surgical Team (FRST), Bravo Company, 1st Medical Battalion, monitor a simulated casualty during their team’s medical evaluation during Steel Knight 23 at Fort Hunter Liggett, Dec. 07, 2022. Simulated casualties are injected into the scenario to test sustainment capabilities over a 72-hour period. The data collected will provide for development of future warfighting doctrine in the Force Design 2030 warfighting model. SK-23 is a 1st Marine Division led annual training exercise which enables the Navy-Marine Corps team to operate in a realistic, combined-arms environment to enhance naval warfighting tactics, techniques and procedures.
