MANAMA, Bahrain (Dec. 15, 2022) U.S. Marine Brig. Gen. Matthew S. Reid, commanding general of Task Force 51/5th Marine Expeditionary Brigade (TF 51/5) high-fives with Brig. Gen. Dan Goldfus, commanding general of the 98th Division, Israeli Defense Force, during a key leadership engagement and tour aboard expeditionary sea base USS Lewis B. Puller (ESB 3), Dec. 15. Puller is deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations and assigned to Task Force 51/5th Marine Expeditionary Brigade (TF 51/5). TF 51/5 coordinates, plans, and executes operations; conducts theater security cooperation; and advances emerging Naval concepts at sea, from the sea, and ashore to support U.S. Central Command theater objectives.
