PACIFIC OCEAN (Nov. 14, 2022) - U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Juan Villar, a light armored vehicle crewman with 1st Light Armored Reconnaissance Company, Battalion Landing Team 2/4, 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit, clears the engine of a Light Armored Vehicle of debris during vehicle maintenance, Nov. 14, 2022. The mobility and sustainability provided by amphibious platforms enable the Navy-Marine Corps team to extend the reach of our capabilities. The 13th MEU is embarked with the Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group, comprised of amphibious assault ship USS Makin Island (LHD 8) and amphibious transport docks USS Anchorage (LPD 23) and USS John P.
