ATLANTIC OCEAN (Dec. 14, 2022) Boatswain’s Mate 2nd Class Daniel Short, a line handler onboard the Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5), removes mooring lines from a Landing Craft Utility (LCU) in the ship’s well deck in during amphibious operations, Dec. 14, 2022. Bataan is underway participating in a Surface Warfare Advanced Tactical Training (SWATT) exercise designed to increase the lethality and tactical proficiency of the surface force across all domains.
