Georgian and U.S Special Operations Forces partnered for vertical ascent training in the Caucus Mountains outside Tbilisi, Georgia, on June 15, 2022. This skillset enables the soldiers to navigate mountainous terrain despite the lack of roads and trails. Through working together to move personnel and equipment up vertical cliff faces, the U.S. and Georgian forces further built interoperability between their nations.
