Crew Chiefs assigned to the 914th Maintenance Squadron, and boom operators assigned to the 328th Air Refueling Squadron load a pallet of cargo to be fastened to the aircraft on Dec. 27, 2022. Each pallet can weigh anywhere from 2,500 to 4,000 pounds and, depending on the dimensions, can take up to two hours to build and secure; palletizing cargo is crucial for the safety of the aircraft and crew.
