U.S. Marine Lance Cpl. Ava Perry, a clarinet instrumentalist with the 1st Marine Division Band, rehearses for the Rose Parade on Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, California, Dec. 31, 2022. Marines from the 1st Marine Division Band, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing Band, and Marine Band San Diego came together to form the composite band. They played traditional military music to showcase patriotism and cohesion between the military and the American people. Perry is a native of Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota.
