Illegally caught red snapper lie in a Mexican lancha, or fishing boat, approximately 26 miles off the southern Texas coast, Dec. 29, 2022. All told, Coast Guard boat crews interdicted five lanchas, seized 590 pounds of red snapper and transferred 22 Mexican fishermen to Customs and Border Protection agents for further processing.
