Members of the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific (NMCP) team lay the casket of U.S. Navy Seaman 1st Class Maurice Spangler to rest during an interment ceremony held at the NMCP, Honolulu, Hawaii, Jan. 4, 2023. The Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency and attending family members paid their respects and honored the life of U.S. Navy Seaman 1st Class Maurice Spangler, who was assigned to the USS Oklahoma when the ship was attacked by Japanese aircraft during World War II.
