Commander Jason R. Hinkley is slated to become the executive officer, Naval Station Newport later this month. Hinkley is a native of LeRoy, MI and enlisted in the U.S. Navy in February 1992. He was commissioned under the Limited Duty Officer program in October 2006. Hinkley was most recently the port operations manager at Commander, Navy Installations Command.
