MANAMA, Bahrain – Sgt. Maj Rafael Vargas, Naval Amphibious Task Force 51/5th Marine Expeditionary Brigade Sergeant Major speaks to Marines assigned to Deployable Joint Command and Control (DJC2), TF 51/5 aboard the Expeditionary sea base USS Lewis B. Puller (ESB 3) in Manama, Bahrain, Jan. 9. Puller is deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations and assigned to Task Force 51/5th Marine Expeditionary Brigade (TF 51/5). TF 51/5 coordinates, plans, and executes operations; conducts theater security cooperation; and advances emerging Naval concepts at sea, from the sea, and ashore to support U.S. Central Command theater objectives.
